Welcome to Houston Padel League (“HPL”). By accessing our website, registering for the league, or participating in league activities, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility

Participants must be at least 18 years old or have written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

2. League Registration

Registration is not complete until all applicable fees have been paid and accepted by HPL.

HPL reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove any participant or team for violations of league rules or conduct standards.

3. League Format

League schedules, scoring systems, playoff formats, venues, and rules may be modified at HPL’s discretion to address operational needs, weather, venue availability, or competitive fairness.

4. Player Conduct

Participants agree to:

• Display good sportsmanship

• Respect opponents, officials, venue staff, and spectators

• Follow venue rules

• Refrain from abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or disruptive behavior

HPL may suspend or remove players without refund for misconduct.

5. Assumption of Risk

Padel is a physical sport involving inherent risks, including injury, illness, disability, or death.

By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with league activities.

6. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, participants release and hold harmless Houston Padel League, its owners, directors, officers, volunteers, sponsors, venue partners, and affiliates from any claims, injuries, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from participation in league activities.

7. Medical Responsibility

Participants are solely responsible for determining their fitness to participate and for maintaining any necessary medical insurance.

8. Payments and Refunds

League fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

No refunds will be provided for:

• Missed matches

• Schedule conflicts

• Team withdrawals

• Injuries or illnesses occurring after registration

Any approved refund remains subject to administrative processing fees.

9. Weather and Venue Changes

Matches may be rescheduled, relocated, shortened, or canceled due to weather, facility issues, or circumstances beyond HPL’s control.

10. Intellectual Property

All website content, logos, league branding, graphics, rankings, and materials are the property of Houston Padel League and may not be copied or used without permission.

11. Media Release

Participants grant Houston Padel League the right to photograph, record, and publish images, video, audio, and likenesses for promotional and commercial purposes without compensation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Houston Padel League’s total liability arising from use of the website or participation in the league shall not exceed the amount of league fees paid by the participant during the current season.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Texas.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.

14. Changes to Terms

Houston Padel League may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website or participation in league activities constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
